Minerdome Basketball Referees Advisory Group
The Referees Advisory Group (RAG) is a committee with the task of supporting the referees of the Ballarat Basketball Association (BBA) and the Referee Development Officer (RDO).
RAG consists of the following members:
BBA Referees Erin McCuskey (Chair) John Kearle and Erin Cooper.
BBA Staff Referee Development Officer Mitch Harris and Basketball Manager Maureen Hunt
and One Representative from the Committee of Management Eric Doherty.The objectives of RAG are to:
- Provide guidance and support to the RDO whilst recognising and respecting his position as the head of the Ballarat Referee body.
- To encourage and promote our local referee body by reviewing existing policies or setting new policies specific to the area referee body
- On behalf of Ballarat Basketball settle all disputes between referees and / or the RAG representing the Referee body in disputes with BBA affiliated clubs, members or others involved in local competitions (any appeal arising from a decision by RAG is to Ballarat Basketball Association Committee of Management);
- To deal with any other matters which the RAG may deem to be in the best interests of referee development in the local basketball Association and the local referee body.
