Ballarat Basketball sets benchmark with new website!

A brand new Ballarat Basketball website was launched today, raising the standard for sports clubs and providing an excellent basketball resource for Western Victoria. The site incorporates all aspects of Ballarat Basketball including domestic competition, tournaments, the Minerdome Sports Club, and the elite Miners and Rush teams.

Elite Teams Administrator Jimmy Hunt says the website brings Ballarat Basketball into a new era.

“This is a comprehensive website which covers all areas of our operation while being easy to navigate and visually spectacular. It could very well be the best website of any basketball club in Australia,” said Hunt.

The website is a reflection of Ballarat Basketball’s efforts to strengthen ties within the organisation and raise the profile of the sport in Western Victoria. Ballarat Basketball’s goal is to connect directly with athletes and families that see Ballarat Basketball as part of their sports pathway. The new website will showcase all that is on offer these aspiring athletes.

“We’ve made a conscious move to bring all areas of our operation into alignment, so senior Miners and Rush players are more involved with domestic basketball, Minerdome Sports Club members are kept involved in what’s happening on the court, and so on. That’s represented very well through the new site, and genuinely provides a great service to the basketball community,” said Hunt.

Local families looking to engage with basketball and a range of other indoor sports opportunities will be able to find all they need through the site. Features include the latest news from Ballarat Basketball, payments for domestic game fees, access to Minerdome Sports Club promotions, pre-booking for Aussie Hoops and holiday basketball camps, videos of the Miners and Rush, and the ability to purchase Miners and Rush memberships.

The new site will evolve to provide an information and resource support service for volunteer education and accreditation programs for Western Victoria. The Vic West Accreditation Program will target from Bacchus Marsh to Horsham and from Maryborough to Bannockburn offering a mix of regionally based courses and programs to be offered at the Wendouree Sports & Events Centre as part of plans to establish dedicated administrative facilities for the Vic West Volunteer Accreditation Centre in the planned new Indoor Sports facility.
