Ballarat Basketball’s fundraising house is complete and ready for sale, with our local basketballers the beneficiaries.
Elite Teams Administrator Jimmy Hunt says the project was devised as an income source to compensate for declining sponsorship availability in today’s tough economic climate.
“The sole purpose of the Miners and Rush has always been to provide elite opportunities for local basketballers but it’s becoming more and more expensive to do,” said Hunt.
“We’ve always maintained strong relationships with the business community here in Ballarat and across the state. Although cash sponsorship has become more difficult for businesses to justify, we identified this opportunity to maintain the support of businesses in the building industry.”
“On behalf of our club I’d like to express our immense gratitude towards everyone who has helped us out, in particular Integra and Macneil Group who really made this all possible, and project manager Simon Walshe who has done a fantastic job in bringing everything together.”
The house is located at 5 Chase Boulevard, Alfredton, with PRD Nationwide Ballarat handling the sale. The listing can be viewed at http://www.prdballarat.com.au/displayproperty?c=28224&t=R&o=80.
