The Ballarat Miners and Rush are riding in style this season with new team buses thanks to Thrifty Ballarat and Drever Signs.
The two buses, one branded with the Miners logo and one with the Rush logo, will be shared amongst all Miners and Rush teams from the senior elite teams right through to the junior representative sides who compete across Victoria.
Elite Teams Administrator Jimmy Hunt says the club is overwhelmed by the support of the community.
“These buses are a great example of Ballarat people doing great things for our community. We owe a big thank you to club person Simon Walshe, Andrew Overall from Thrifty, and Troy from Drever signs.”
Hunt claims the buses will benefit more than just the Miners and Rush.
“They’ll be seen all over the state every week, promoting the sport of basketball and the city of Ballarat, while housing some of the best role models in our community,” said Hunt.
The senior Miners and Rush host their first South East Australian Basketball League home game of the 2014 season on Saturday April 5.
