RADcentre provide fitness support for junior athletes

RADcentre have returned to the Ballarat Sports Events Centre this week supporting the Basketball Ballarat Elite Teams with Return to Play fitness Sessions.

Director and Physical Performance Manager Chris Radford was delighted to be able to con

duct the Return to Play Fitness Sessions for the Athletes in anticipation for a return to their representative state competitions.

“The main aim for the sessions this week was to reintroduce the players back onto the basketball court, take them through basketball specific movements getting them ready to go for when team trainings and games resume”

Radford said.

RADcentre continues to provide placement opportunities for Federation University Australia Students. These placements offer students the essential industry experience to support their university learnings and valuable experience in a working environment.

“Industry experience is essential and a major part of the success of the Fed Uni program,

Helping to get the students ready for jobs in the field. The partnership with Basketball Ballarat provides a fantastic opportunity for the students to work in a big team setting and  learn to manage large numbers” Radford ended with.

Basketball Ballarat continue to provide student placements and internships across a range of career pathways in the Exercise and Sports Science with support from RADcentre. Basketball Ballarat Partnerships Manager Andrew Day was really supportive of the ongoing relationship with RADcentre and Federation University.

“Working with Chris Radford specifically in the Exercise and Sports Science area has been a really positive partnership for Basketball Ballarat offering these Federation University students with invaluable experiences they can adopt into their own career pathways” Andrew Day said.

RADcentre support all Elite Teams at Basketball Ballarat with all their athlete performance programs, injury prevention and injury rehabilitation. Basketball Ballarat encourage not only representative level athletes to book sessions with RADcentre but anyone in the community looking to improve their physical performance at any level.

The Return to Play Fitness Sessions has allowed Basketball Ballarat to launch the new Covid-19 venue protocol in line with Basketball Victoria and the State Government for when the local Domestic Competitions commence.
