The Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners proudly announced Australian Long-Distance Runner Steve Moneghetti as number one ticket holder for the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners 2019 NBL1 season.
Marqueze Coleman, recently signed player for the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners was on hand to present Steve with his number one ticket.
“I am delighted to be back as the number one ticket holder, love my basketball and really looking forward to an exciting season.” Moneghetti said.
Steve himself as a junior played basketball locally and has a long standing association with Basketball Ballarat.
“Local content such as Sam Short coming back from Melbourne United and the western region which we represent; it is great to see so much excitement around the team.” Moneghetti mentioned.
Marqueze Coleman was really intrigued by Steve’s career meeting him for the first time this week.
“Ballarat legend, Australian legend at that, really good to have the support through the season.” Coleman said.
This weekend the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners head away to Nunawading in Round 1 of the NBL1.
“Really looking forward to our first game this weekend, we had a great practice match and think we really played well” Coleman said.
Both the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush play away this Saturday at Nunawading before playing at home for the first time this season on April 6th against rivals Bendigo.
