Ballarat Referee’s represent at Under 12 & 14 Country Championships
While everyone enjoyed their time off over the school holidays, the Ballarat Basketball referees began to look for development opportunities by attending more Basketball Victoria Country Championships.
U12s – Bendigo
17 referees and referee coaches attended Under 12 Country Champs in Bendigo from 9th – 11th April.
At Under 12s, three of Ballarat’s referees were appointed to a medal game:
- Fletcher Martin – Division 2 Girls
- Dylan Zampatti – Division 3 Girls
- Isaac Martin – Division 4 Girls
Other referees who attended include Noah Barwick, Matt Catherall, Chelsea Randich, Hunter Martin, Nick Zampatti, Harvey Walsh, Josh Jones, Tanika Langdon, Anthony Kynoch, Neil Black (referee coach), Kelly Jones (referee coach), Chloe Dunmore (referee coach), Geoff Dunmore (referee coach) and Jordan Bengtson (referee coach).
U14s – Traralgon
11 referees and referee coaches attended Under 14 Country Championships in Traralgon from 16th – 18th April.
At Under 14s, two of Ballarat’s officials scored themselves a medal game:
- Fletcher Martin – Division 3 Girls
- Ty Storer – Division 4 Boys
