Wheelchair Basketball Returns

Monday 12th of February 5.45pm-7pm will see the return of Ballarat’s Wheelchair Basketball rolling onto the courts. After launching in 2017 the popular option returns to the Badminton Centre Basketball court.

The program is a great alternative to our regular basketball fixture and is not only rewarding but a great challenge for anyone wanting to give wheelchair basketball a go!

Who can play? People who use a wheelchair all the time, use a wheelchair some of the time and people who dont use wheelchairs at all. The game is inclusive to everyone allowing a person who may be a paraplegic, cerebral palsy, hip replacement or able bodied athletes to play and enjoy basketball.

How to sign up? You can sign up prior to session by emailing Matt Newton (details at the bottom) or calling the Minerdome office on 5338 1220. Or come along to the session 5 minutes earlier to register.

Time and Cost: The program runs Monday nights 5.45-7pm on the Badminton Centre Basketball Court (Back courts within the Ken Kay Badminton Centre) and the cost is $6 per person payable directly to Wheelchair Basketball Officer Lyn Hodgetts on the night.
