Slow Third Quarter Leads to Rush Loss

The Thrifty Under 16 Rush struggled to find the basket in the third quarter against Knox last night, leading to a 41-57 defeat at the Mars Minerdome.

Just two points separated the teams at half time, but Ballarat were only able to lodge three third-quarter points while Knox’s sharp shooting netted them 12 points.

The Rush found their feet again in the final term, but Knox’s rhythm could not be broken, leading to a 16-point loss for the home team.

Charlotte Todd and Millie Cracknell led Ballarat’s scoring with 10 points each, while Alannah Chatfield was on fire from deep for the visitors, lodging 21.
