genU Training joins the Miners Rush as Official Member Partner
The Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners & Selkirk Ballarat Rush today announced genU Training as the official Member Partner.
Based in Ballarat genU Training is a Registered Training Organisation of the not-for-profit community services provider genU and will join Basketball Ballarat for 2019.
Partnerships Manager Andrew Day made the official announcement today and was delighted To welcome a new partner to the club.
“It’s been an exciting off-season for Basketball Ballarat and it’s fantastic that genU Training have joined us as the Official Member Partner for 2019,” Day said.
“The start to 2019 has been significant with genU Training signing on and complimenting the recent announcement of the new league name NBL1 so we are all looking forward to carrying this momentum forward with our Memberships this year,” Day said.
genU Training representative Karen Cook was enthusiastic by the opportunity to partner with Basketball Ballarat.
“We’re really excited at genU to be partnered with Basketball Ballarat particularly around the all abilities team through wheelchair basketball” Cooke said.
“We deliver training to people with disability and train people to work in the disability sector it’s a really good fit” Cook mentioned.
“We are new to the region so this was a massive opportunity to get our name out there & be associated with Basketball Ballarat we thought was a really good fit for what we do” Cook finished with.
McDonald’s Ballarat Miners Youth player Zac Dunmore was there to launch the new partnership with genU Training who updated us on how on-court things have been. “Preseason is going well with training twice per week. Most players are back from last season and a couple of morning training sessions along with evening session so we’re going well” Dunmore said.
