TrixyJ is locked in for 2020

The Selkirk Ballarat Rush are delighted to announce the re-signing of Chanise Jenkins for NBL1 2020.

After her first season in NBL1 for the Selkirk Ballarat Rush, Jenkins was able to produce some outstanding basketball throughout the year and was rewarded by receiving the 2019 Robyn Mahar Most Valuable Player award after averaging seventeen points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals a game.

Jenkins was really excited to be back in Ballarat for the 2020 NBL1 Season and very thankful for the opportunity.

“A huge thank you to Eric Hayes, Megan Collins and the organisation for another opportunity to play with this team whom I love so much” Jenkins said.

Jenkins was a fan favorite during the previous season and she is looking forward to playing in the Ballarat Sports Events Centre.

“Can’t wait to get back to the awesome community and hear the loud roars from our amazing loyal fans. I’m also excited to play in the new stadium which I was able to witness open before I left the end of last season.” Jenkins ended with.

 

 

Former Rush player Lynly Doherty who now assists with player recruitment said she was thrilled to be able to sign Chanise again for the 2020 NBL1 season.

“Chanise was very quickly identified as someone we wanted to re-sign from this past season. She showed that she was able to step up when big baskets were needed but also play the team style of game Head Coach Eric Hayes and Assistant Megan Collins needed.” Doherty said.

Jenkins has played all across the world from representing the USA at the World University Games to currently playing for TFSE-MTK in the Hungarian 1st League.

“Chanise brings great knowledge of the game to Ballarat and displays the character qualities we look for within our program” Doherty ended with.

The NBL1 Season will commence in April of  2020 with home games being played at the new Ballarat Sports Events Centre.
