103.1 Power FM have extended their partnership with Basketball Ballarat for a further three years supporting a range of initiatives.
General Manager at 3BA & Power FM John Fitzgibbon was delighted to continue the partnership over the coming years.
“We are really excited to continue our long association with the Miners and the Rush. This partnership represents the shared values of these iconic Ballarat brands continuing to work together to promote participation in all levels of basketball in our community.” Fitzgibbon said.
This year you will hear a Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners & Selkirk Ballarat Rush player back on air every Wednesday morning for their weekly segment which is another opportunity to get to know these players on a different level.
“Jules & Kris are looking forward to their weekly on-air interviews with the players throughout the season. It’s a great way for listeners to get to know the players on a different level and to encourage the community to rally behind these elite athletes. They are one level below the NBL players and I think that is incredible to have such a high level of sport here in Ballarat on a regular basis.
Our rival game against Geelong is very exciting and one that we all look forward to. Both teams play for the Power FM cup and it’s always a thrilling match! To sit in the crowd amongst a sea of blue and yellow is simply amazing and we love the community vibe that Basketball Ballarat has built over many years.” Fitzgibbon ended with.
Commercial Partnerships Manager Andrew Day was thrilled to have 103.1 Power FM continue supporting Basketball Ballarat.
“Both 3BA and 103.1 Power FM are big supporters of the local community so it’s always great to partner with iconic local brands. The media coverage they provide our teams or major events continues to flourish and we’re always working closely with Power FM to continue engaging the community together which is a real highlight of the partnership.” Day said.
103.1 Power FM have had their iconic brand on the backboards of all courts at the Minerdome and Ballarat Sport Events Centre long-term which will continue as part of their renewal.
