Sovereign Knights Basketball Club are pleased to nominate the Coats Family for the Bendigo Bank – Family Of The Week award.
Damian Coats has been a long-time coach of a range of boy’s teams for the Sovereign Knights Basketball Club. Tracey Coats has served as an active committee member for several years and is currently coordinating merchandise for the Club. Tracey puts her hand up to assist the rest of the committee with any tasks that need doing. Their son Will has represented the Club for many years and is currently playing U/16 Boys Yellow along with helping train the U/10 Boys team. Will has recently taken up refereeing for Ballarat Basketball on Saturday’s. Their other son Charlie played U/12 Boys Red last season. Their daughter Edie who is nearly 4 years is keen to start her basketball career with Sovereign Knights soon.
The Coats family, pictured with Bendigo Bank’s Sonia Bickley and Miners Peter Hooley, Sam Short and Ash Constable, received a brief meet and greet with Miners players, a signed basketball, and tickets to our game against Sydney/Albury-Wodonga.
