Turning Heads, Both on and off the Court
The Ballarat Skoda Rush women’s team already turns heads on the court, but now we will be seeing more of the group in and around Ballarat thanks to Ballarat Skoda.
As part of the Ballarat Skoda Rush three year naming rights sponsorship, two new vehicles were recently unveiled at the recently refurbished Ballarat Skoda showroom.
The new vehicles will allow for Basketball Ballarat officials to attend training sessions and run educational activities across Victoria.
Melissa Thomas from Basketball Ballarat says ‘With education being such a key part of Basketball Ballarat’s future direction and with ambassadors like Joy Burke from Ballarat Skoda Rush we are thrilled that Ballarat Skoda have been able to supply two fantastic cars to assist us in getting to and from our programs.’
Joy Burke from Ballarat Skoda Rush said the sponsorship opportunity would allow her and fellow Rush athletes the ability to get to and from community programs “With Ballarat Skoda providing us with these brand new cars, we are able to get around the community to do all our great work off the court whilst also advertising Ballarat Skoda Rush”
Sales manager Kirsty Lee at Ballarat Skoda says ‘the sponsorship not only helps players get from game to game but is also a great way to support community events and activities on a local grass-roots level. Seeing the kids learning in a one-on-one training session with the Ballarat Skoda Rush team is inspiring in itself.”
Ballarat Skoda are looking forward to developing their relationship over the next three years with Basketball Ballarat and continuing to support women’s basketball.
