Director of Coaching Daniel Sutton is very pleased with the appointments, saying: “We’re really excited to have Stacey and Dave return to lead the U12 development programs this year.

Stacey has been with the program since 2019 and she has a breadth of coaching experience across all age groups – junior and senior.  Stacey also has strong experience in our State Development Pathways. Stacey will be joined by returning squad coaches who are recent members of our junior Program. Bentley, Georgia and Mya are all ex-BRP athletes, with Georgia and Mya just completing their season with the Miners Youth League team. Laura Taylor will also join the coaching team this year adding her wealth of playing and coaching experience at junior and senior levels. All great role models and leaders for our junior girls.

Dave has been involved with our U12 Program for the past two years and has stepped up to lead the squad after taking the U12 Boys team to Country Champs Semi Final in April. With an education background Dave has shown a great passion for planning a robust development curriculum for the program and will be assisted ably by returning squad coaches Jake Salter and Luke Cavanagh. Jake has a strong history of playing and coaching in junior state pathways in South Australia and Luke, who is currently coaching with our U14 program, is a past Miners player (junior and senior) and is well equipped to impart his knowledge on what it takes to move through our pathways. Noah Phillips, who is currently playing in our U18 program will be joining the U12 Coaching team. Noah coaches domestically currently and will be a great role model for the young boys.

Both coaching teams are perfectly placed to work together to develop our young athletes and I’m really excited to have them all on board.”
