Rob Baker appointed as head coach

Basketball Ballarat has officially announced Rob Baker as the head coach of the Central Highlands Water Ballarat Rush Youth for the upcoming Big V Youth League Championship Season.

Director of Coaching Brendan Joyce said the appointment was a great fit for the program.

“Rob will bring passion and experience to the Central Highlands Water Rush Youth program.” Joyce said.

The Youth League is an important part of the pathway for players coming through from junior level, youth league and then senior Basketball.

“Rob will also bring a great understanding of coaching the Rush style of play aligning with our Under-18 and Senior Rush women age groups which will increase the cohesion and assist in the pathway of the women’s BBA Rush pathway. ” Joyce said.

Rob Baker was an Assistant Coach for the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners in the NBL1 last season and has a  wealth of experience with over 10 years representing Victoria County in a range of coaching roles.

Both the Central Highlands Water Ballarat Miners & Rush Youth commence their season on Saturday 14th of March against the Dandenong Ranges away at Dandenong Stadium from 6pm onwards.
