Ballarat Rush’s division one girls team has won its way through to the national championships after a flawless display at the Basketball Victoria Country Under-14 Championships at the weekend.

Rush won all of their games – including the grand final against Bendigo – to take out the competition.

Ballarat Miners qualified for the division one boys league, but bowed out at the quarter final stage.

The three-day carnival was held in Ballarat, with more than 60 teams from across regional Victoria taking part.
