Referee Program boosted by genU Training

The Basketball Ballarat Referee’s are thrilled to extend their partnership with genU Training for a further 2 years in what is a real boost to the program moving forward.

The partnership will see the genU Training branding incorporated into the referee logo and featured across their Puma uniforms.

Training Manager Karen Cook was excited to continue with their commitment to the local referee’s.

“The main reason that genU Training wants to support Ballarat Basketball and specifically the referees is to make sure they know we recognise what a great job they do, that it’s not just about the players, but the whole club. Referees are an important and integral part of any game and sometimes their work goes unnoticed.” Cook said.

“genU Training felt it was important for all refs to have a uniform that reflects the look and feel of Ballarat Basketball but is also a tangible way for us to demonstrate appreciation for what they do and in this small way help to raise their profile.” Karen Cook said

Partnerships Manager Andrew Day was thrilled to announce the extension on Friday.

“It’s great to have genU Training extend their partnership and support our valued Referee Program. We have worked closely with genU Training to feature their branding on the new Puma referee uniforms and after difficult 2020 for the sporting industry due to Covid-19 this is really positive step forward so we must thank genU Training for their continued support” Day said.

The investment from genU Training will help support the development of the referee programs into the future.
